The International History Bee and Bowl is delighted to announce that throughout the summer of 2016, significant outreach efforts will be directed at launching our history quiz tournaments in India! In late June and early July, IHBB staff will be visiting the Delhi, Chennai, and Puducherry areas, and in August, staff will return to conduct outreach visits with schools in Mumbai, Bangalore, and possibly Pune as well. If you know teachers or students at schools in those areas, please pass the word along, and let us know too – email nolwenn@historybowl.com
Our tournaments will then begin in India possibly as early as August 2016, but certainly by the fall of 2016. Thousands of students with Indian ancestry have already competed in IHBB tournaments around the world over the past six years, and we’re looking forward to bringing our tournaments to a country with hundreds of millions of students and an impressive tradition of quiz competitions. We look forward to meeting many Indian teachers and students in the days and years to come!
