International History Bee and Bowl’s Asian Division Set to Begin its Third Year!
The International History Bee and Bowl is gearing up for its third year of history quiz tournaments in Asia! After having run tournaments in Shanghai, Tokyo, and Hiroshima over the past two years, we’re looking to expand throughout Asia for the 2013-14 school year. From August-October 2013, Nolwenn and David Madden, the co-Directors of the International History Bee and Bowl, will be traveling across Asia and visiting schools to introduce teachers and students to our history quiz tournaments. We’ll be stopping off in Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka), South Korea (Seoul and Busan), China (Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Hong Kong), Thailand (Bangkok), Malaysia (Penang and Kuala Lampur), Singapore, Sri Lanka (Colombo), India (Mumbai and New Delhi), and the United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi). All told, we look forward to 10-12 regional tournaments throughout Asia this year, all of which will qualify students for our inaugural Asian Championships in Singapore or Hong Kong in May or June 2014!
Additionally, we’ll be partnering with our friends at the World Scholar’s Cup to give demonstrations and introductions to the International History Bee and Bowl at the 2013 World Scholar’s Cup Global Round in Dubai.
Please take the time to explore this site; it will be updated as the year goes along with information on our tournaments and results after they are held. There are also quite a few resources on the website that explain exactly how our tournaments work and how you and your school can best prepare for them. For any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at any time.
Thank you for your interest in The International History Bee and Bowl’s Asian Division, and we look forward to seeing you at one of our tournaments soon!
